The Web page TMZ is reporting that the most recognizable athlete in the world has taken out a $54.5 million mortgage to enable him to build a new compound on Florida’s Jupiter Island (up the coast from West Palm Beach).
Tiger Wood’s new digs will include a really swell fitness room and a practice golf course – we all know by now that his swing needs a little work.
TMZ reports Tiger intends to pay off the mortgage by January 2016.

Membership in the private golf club with purchase, assures full access to the course and members club areas.

Comprising an average of almost 3,000 square feet, each of the eight cottages offers four bedrooms and living space designed in a country style. The Petets plan to open a second shoe store, Goodie 2 Shoes, in their newly purchased real estate, which is right across from their current store, which they lease at 907 Lincoln.

I’ve been looking out the window at the building for a long time,” Rick Petet said.

They paid $370,000 for the 1,700-square-foot building.

Although the Petets have plans to open Goodie 2 Shoes by Nov. 15 with a line of footwear that is distinctly different from what they offer at Steamboat Shoe market, Petet acknowledged that what he and his wife are doing is hedging their bets by owning their own real estate. He explained that they recently signed a new five-year lease with an escape clause that becomes available after 2.5 years.

They’ll evaluate how both stores are doing in a couple of years and decide whether to continue running both or consolidate in their own real estate.

The storefront at 908 Lincoln, which most recently housed Gallery 11, appears quite small from the outside Petet agreed, but is 100 feet deep and has more wall display space than his location. Plus, the upstairs apartment will be converted to a storage area.
